Today seemed like a good day to start
I don’t know much about the internet, but a friend of mine urged me to set up my own site. The idea is that, while things may come and things may go, if you got your own site, it provides a safe port in the storm. Like most things I do, I’ve been intending to do this for a while. A long while.
So welcome to my corner to the internet. That felt weird. My corner? Anyhow, let me tell you what I intend.
Intentions
Good intentions butter no parsnips. Yeah, I don’t really know either. I’m not going to make any promises or set any goals or any of that shit.
A little window
I don’t know if anyone wants to observe how the cogs of my brain work, but if you do, this is for you. I cut a little hole in the side of my skull so you can look in. Two things I can assure you:
I fitted a little bit of glass into the hole to keep out drafts.
The hole only provides a partial view: there’s stuff in there no one wants to see.
A base
As well as occasional updates, I also want this to be a base for what I do. So, everything I’ve worked on (books, fanzines, podcasts) will be listed, and links for things like actual plays of the scenarios I’ve written. It’s a work in progress right now.
Games
You probably know I write for roleplaying games. That’s what this is about. About what I’m working on, how I work, and all the other little things that pass through my brain that I think are interesting. Maybe you will too. Maybe not.
Actual News
Almost forgot, I do have some actual news. The Rivers of London RPG is out today on PDF you can get it at Chaosium.com or DrivethruRPG. Note: if you buy the PDF from Chaosium you can get that money knocked off the physical copy when that becomes available next year.
I was one of many who worked on the book, mostly developing the rules. There’s a lot to say about it. Later.
