Such a shame to hear of the change to the three amigos but you need to do what is right (like the stars) for you Paul, and as things change in your priorities and demands you can literarily only manage so much at one time. You have done an amazing work on the Friends podcast from inception to present and may even return as guest in your own right of course! But we can look forward to your other projects and I'm thrilled to hear about season 2 of your Eldritch Extras in the works already as well.

Thank you Paul. I will miss you, but I understand that times have changed. I was hoping the podcast would never change, but that’s a me problem. You three have given me—all of us—hours and hours of thrills and reflection. I’ll be listening to the podcast every morning like I listen to Chopin or Ivor Gurney—to brighten and inspire my days. Cheers!

Best of luck Paul! Glad you remain busy producing stuff in the Cthulhu/Frickerverse! Have really enjoyed TGFoJE as well as your scenarios (individually & collectively)

Covid has changed a lot. I rarely persuade my lot to game F2F these days. It's a rare treat! Roll20 is useful but.... meh! Not the same camaraderie.

In the echoey voice at the end of your shows "Thank you!"

A couple more notes upon re-reading this (and feeling nostalgic and sad):

a) i remember so well that moment in the episode on Running Published Campaigns when you and Scott react to Matt’s revelation that he used to play brass seriously (cornet, trumpet). That was hilarious and wonderful

b) there were a few episodes that suffered from sound issues, but generally I think Scott steeply undersells those early casts—almost every one of those early episodes is brimming with ideas and laughter and horror. They are all gems

c) physical proximity and real engagement is so healthy…and sadly the pandemic disrupted so many patterns of socialization. My own have never recovered.

Ten years is a long time…and a wonderful time. But perhaps you can take extra heart in knowing that Johnny Walker signed off his show around the same time. Legends will do legendary things! Excelsior, Paul! And will be listening to Eldritch matters as soon as you return.
